Year End Summary

Bike Rodeo & Child Safety Day

Bring your bike out for a fun and safe ride!  Rockingham County Deputies conduct bicycle rodeos and bicycle safety courses.  Several courses are set up for the students to negotiate and conduct fun exercises while riding.  The rodeos are designed to have the kids learn important riding skills as well as learn traffic signs and how to properly ride the bicycles. Each student must have a helmet to participate and other protective gear if they wish.  Bicycles will be checked prior to entering the courses and instructors will insure that helmets fit properly as well.  The Sheriff's Office will also have a safety seat technician certified to properly check child safety seats on site.
