Mother Daughter Teen Dating Safety Seminar
Today, juveniles are beginning to date as early as their "tween" years. By the time they reach high school, 1 in 3 teens know a friend or peer who has been physically hurt by a partner. Dating violence is defined, when one person tries to maintain power and control over another though abuse. The abuse can include physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual abuse. Discussion will be led by a Rockingham County Sheriff's Office Investigator and will include ways to recognize such abuse.
The Seminar will be held at Broadway High School on November 6, 2013 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. The seminar is free but you must register by November 4, 2013 to attend. For more information or to register please call (540) 564-3160.
