Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson


Sheriff of Rockingham County / City of Harrisonburg

 

Sheriff Hutcheson was elected in 2011 and took office on January 1, 2012.

 

Prior to becoming Sheriff, he served 16 years with the Virginia State Police in a variety of work assignments, including State Trooper, Special Agent, Sergeant, and First Sergeant.  He served 2 years as Chief of Police of the Woodstock (VA) Police Department.


Sheriff Hutcheson graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and received a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University.

 

Sheriff Hutcheson is the 66th Sheriff of Rockingham County and the City of Harrisonburg.
